Off and on now for some years I have tried to find out what action a relative was involved in for him to be awarded the MM posthumously in WW1 and seeing what little detail was on grandfather's card doubt it is worthwhile downloading it. His regiment were less than helpful, although his name is listed for the award in London Gazette - no details. Neither he nor any of his sibilings married or had children so this branch has died out but I would just like to be able to add to his details in the tree, his act of bravery. Any ideas? |
