I am looking for the following people on the 1841 census: Thomas Jakins - born abt 1821 in Bedfordshire, was living in Northamptonshire and married by 1851 Mary Jakins - born abt 1823 in Bedfordshire, married a George Maynard in 1842 in Bedford and later moved to Northampton Susan/Susanna Jakins - born abt 1779 in Northampton, on 1851 census living in Bedfordshire Any help would be great Vicky |

I had no luck at all with your Jakins family so decided to look for your George Maynard. He's in St. Paul, Bedfordshire. I went forward a few pages to see if there were any Jakins neighbours. The pages are so badly faded that they're almost unreadable. I suspect that's where your Jakins are. Fading into oblivion! Margaret |

Thanks Reg, I should have mentioned that Thomas and Mary are children of Susan/Susanna Jakins. Their father was called William but I don't know when he died as Susan appears as a widow on the 1851 census. Thanks again Vicky |
