I have a birth certificate for my husband, but this only gives information about his new name and adoptive parents. How can we get copy of original birth cert or find the information (e.g. mother's name, etc.)? |

Hi Paula Go to ( http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ ) and follow instructions for adoption. All the info you need is there. 'Access to Birth / Adoption Records At 18, an adopted person can apply for a certificate of their original birth registration, via the Access to Birth Records service at the General Register Office.' Good luck Gerri x |
