think iv asked this before but where do i get a plot map of cemetarys sj

hi, contact the bereavement service for the local council where the cemetary is. they will be able to supply you with a plan of the cemetary showing your plot. if you do not have the plot details yet, they can also supply this for you, just give them as much info as poss about the date, details of death etc. vicky

Hi, I got my plot map from the local council. Looked up the council services for Cemeteries in the area I was interested in on the internet and contacted them by email. They were very helpful and posted the site map and lots of other information to me. Cheers Paul

would they have them dating back to beginning of 1900s i know some of my are buried in the area im after and want to see if anymore are buried there sj

Hi, I emailed Sheffield City Council this morning and received a reply this afternoon detailing date of burial, grave number and area of the cemetery the grave is located plus a map. Fantastic service. Lesley

IV EMAILED MY LOCAL COUNTY COUNCIL ABOUT 10MINS AGO SO IL SEE WHAT TOMORROW BRINGS ALSO E MAILED THE LOCAL LIBRARY NEAR TO WHERE THE CHURCH IS TO SEE IF THEY HAVE PLOT MAPS AND GOOGLED PLOT MAPS TO SEE WHAT THAT FOUND BUT NOTHING AS YET SJ

my e mail that i sent to my local council replied the records for oadby parish are being digitised and they only have numbers of the plots and not the names sj

Have you tried this site - you may be lucky http://www.framland.pwp.blueyonder(.)co.uk/ Many of mine are in Staincross near Barnsley, the vicar there has transcribed loads of them so they are searchable on line. Best wishes Jo
