Jessie aka Maddies mate Report 18 Jul 2007 22:15

I posted a couple of weeks ago asking for suggestion on how I could trace my G/Gran's grave................many replied and PM'd and I tried all the avenues with no joy...............the archives wanted a £10 per half hour payment to find her and I couldn't get there myself. Berevment services couldn't help either as I was asking them to look all over a large city. So I drew a blank............................Until..........I was cleaning at my Dad's and came across and old address book of my Mum's and in there was the address and phone number of one of my Mum's aunite's ( yes I know long shot, since Mum would have been 63 if she was still alive) So never ever ever give up as it may just be righ under your nose! Anyway I phoned and BLINKING heck dear old aunite pushing 90 answered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She told me that my G/gran was buried..........wait for this................... Only in the same cemetary as My Mum and her two sisters but also my Nan and her two sisters..............so great gran is there with her three daughters around her and her three grandaughters around her as well And I never ever ever knew.................so last night I emailed berevement services and they have replied with the date of burial, the grave number and a map so I can find her.......................................God bless they are all within a hop skip and a jump of each other. I have now asked if I can erect a simple cross as the mane of the graveowner is my Nan sister ( deceased in the same cemetary) Just think every two weeks I have walked past her resting place and never knew....................I will visit this weekend and send her much love So never ever give up as it may be right under your nose
