DOES ANYONE HAVE INFO ON A JOSEPH BURLEY BORN ABOUT 1804, SITTINGBOURNE, KENT. I AM UNABLE TO FIND HIS CHRISTENING/MARRIAGE RECORD. HE MARRIED A CHARLOTTE BAYNES...THEIR FIRST CHILD WAS BORN 1828. THANKS. REGARDS, MAUREEN

Maureen - have you tried the Mormon site - familysearch? Beware of 'submitted' entries and you would need to view the parish records - but a good starting point. And free to use. Joseph was a tailor (spelt taylor on the 1841 census) they were living in the civil parish of Newington and Charlotte was born in Kent too. The family comprised - Charlotte Burley 35 Charlotte Burley 3 Mo Emily Burley 5 Fanny Burley 11 Fredric Burley 12 Hesther Burley 8 Josep Burley 35 Mary Burley 7 Rebecca Burley 2 Wm Henry Burley 10 Victoria
