Have you tried looking for her father on 1841 - bound to be loads of William Greens, but they can't all have been brush makers! Elly

Thanks Jill I too like the look of the first baptism and Susans first child that I have found b1844 was called Elizabeth which would be after her Mother. Georges Mother was Isabella. I have googled All Hallows the Less, London and this became All Hallows the great and is definitely in the city. So I would think you have found her for me and possibly a sister to look for her too. Thanks again You are a star Chris

Just spotted the All Hallows in your message so the first one looks a bit more likely. Jill

Looks like there was a sister Mary to the above - born 12 Dec 1815 - bp 1 Feb 1818 (seems a bit odd wonder whether it's a typo for 1816) - maybe Mary might have parents staying with her in later census returns. Long shot! Jill

Many of the London admin areas cross over the civic parish and the church parish boundaries - try mapping each reference to her place of birth to see if you have genuine alternatives or, with a bit of luck, a narrowed target area.

There are two possibles on IGI - born - 2 Apr 1817 - bp 14 Mar 1818. All Hallows the Less, London (not sure where that is in relation to possible birth places). Parents William and Elizabeth. born - 2 Nov 1817 - bp 23 Feb 1818. St Leonards, Shoreditch. Parents William and Mary. Jill

I have managed to find George Blake and Susan Green on all census including 1841 when they were both living at the same address before they were married. My problem is Susan Green whom he married 29th May 1842. I cannot get back on her family at all. Their marriage cert tells me that they were both of full age. They married in the Parish Church of St Mary, Newington, Surrey. His father Adget Blake deceased (who I have been able to go back on) Her Father William Green – Brush Maker Witnesses were William Smith and Susan Osborn. I have Susans year of birth as approx 1817 City/All Hallows Middsex and death in 1898 Poplar. She seems to change where she was born in different census. Has anyone any ideas where I should go from here? Thanks Chris
