How do I order an overseas birth & death cert?

Dear All I have found some references on the Ionian Index and I am wondering if they are connected to my family. I'd like to order the relevant birth & death certs but the only info I have is as follows: - Ionian Index 1800 - 1900 James Goater Born and died on Corfu Elizabeth Ann Goat born on Cephalonia How can I find out dates, references etc,. to enable me to order these?
