Need help finding Arthur J Underwood birth, I have a date of 4/10/1910 but can not see his birth in any of the records, I believe his father was in the British Army so just a possability he may have beeen born overseas? He had brother Leslie who was born 19/12/1913 in Portsmouth. Any Help Apppeciated Frank |

Theres an Arthur J Underwood listed on Freebmd September 1914 in Wolverhampton, a bit late but could be registered late. Mothers maiden name Hickman. Jo |

Dear Frank Do you know what regiment his father served in? The regimental website usually has a timeline on it which could help you figure out where he might have been at the time of Arthur's birth. British regiments were all over the world at the time. I had a quick look at the Malta website and came up with the following Underwoods - not sure if they fit in anywhere? As far we know his father was in the Royal Army Medical Corp. Arthur actually joined this corp as a boy solider some time before the second world war and had a long carrer in it rising to the rank of Major. Frank |
