BMD were only ever free for a limited time on ancestry. I subscribed to ancestry to gain access and they made the BMD free the following week i was gutted but i still subscribe because they are well worth the money Roy

Barbara They are a commercial compnay and can charge what they like for whatever they like, I am afraid! Why they have chosen this precise moment to close the loophole, I do not know. OC

You are right Annie. I wouldn't like to say (not if hubby's listening) just how many hundreds of pounds I spent on 1837online (Findmypast) before Ancestry got all the BMD's. Kath. x

Heather, I agree with you. I've had my sub now for 4 years and really couldn't have managed without it. I get mine as a Christmas present (one of hubby's better ideas, lol) and at less than £1.50p per week for 24 hour a day searching it's well worth every penny. Kath. x
