Hi Kimberley I have one in front of me first colum date of death and where 2nd name of deceised 3rd sex 4th age 5th address and occupation 6th cause of death 7th informant and address 8th when registered 9th registrar's signature. Paul

If it's an English certificate, then you won't get parent's names, unless it is the death of a child, in which case you are likely to get in the occupation column ' Joe Bloggs, son of........(the father's name). Kath. x

Those of England &Wales, When and where death occured, Cause of Death, Given known age- Address of deceased or last known one, What thier occopation was or last known one,,, If they are are widow/widower..and if known who of,,,,, Name and address and relationship if any of informant who registered the death, All information is relied on what information is given was known to be correct by the informant at the time,,,,,, And,,of more recent ones,late 1940s if the deceased was going to be creameted,,,,,,

Kay, I've never seen a certificate where it states whether or not the deceased would be cremated. Where have you seen this? Kath. x

Hi Kath, Yes they do state England Wales --*-Causing the Body to be Cremated*I have several,,,,,,,, Earliest one is 1948------ Update--Bearing in mind that Cremation wasnt a much done thing back in the 1930'40's but London had its first crematroium in the 1920's..as some religions only allow this,,,,,,,,.

Hi Kath, Yes they do state on cert if cremated,even now they do it,,its on my late fathers cert,,,,,, I dont like the wording they use,!!!

Causing the Body to be Cremated / Buried is used when the informant is not next of kin. Sue

Sue, My mother registered my fathers death and its on there and its quite recent,,,,,,,,,!

Hi Kay I stand corrected . Sorry I didnt mean to offend or upset anyone. I was told that causing the body to be buried/ cremated was used on a d/c only when the informant was not next of kin by a funeral director. Sue
