I assume you know the regiment. I would start with the regimental records. From what you say there was a Not Guilty verdict so I believe there will not be an official record. Clive |

During WWII my late father,while serving as a sergeant in the army, was prosecuted for allowing a prisoner to escape. I am pleased (and proud) to say that he was acquitted on the grounds that he refused to obey an unlawful order. I would very much like to find out more about the case. Does anyone know where the records are kept and whether they are open to inspection? Peter |
