if you go to http://www.sweffling.org.uk/genealogy.htm there is a short bit of explanation on that page and then by selecting 1841/51/61 you can find out more about each census. Clive

Does anyone know how these census pieces were 'lost'. I have the same problem with my rellies who were in Great Bardfield. Is there any chance, however slim, they may one day turn up?

In doesn`t appear to be in the parish listing for 1851 Essex. Go to Ancestry, select 1851 England census Scroll down the page - select Essex - it then shows the parishes included. So probably missing!

can anyone find anyone at all from Felsted in Essex in the 1851 census. I'm really interested in George clowton / clouton, late spelt clayden and clayton, and his wife sussana / susannah/ susan (at various times). I know they lived in Felstead, but i cant even find the village in 1851. I tried typing every variation of Felsted into the civil parish box is it just me ?
