I am as frustrated as anything about the lack of ability to talk to GR computers with my iMac. Why are we having such trouble? I have to send anybody interested a typed up version of my tree as I simply cannot put anything up at all. It is so frustrating, and so unfair to all those people who are kind enough to share with me. Come on GR, pull your finger out. Enid Neville. |

hi Tom I'm using a mac and having no problems! I used to have a problem with Safari after an upgrade a few years ago and was told to switch browser so moved to firefox! Can you try using another browser apart from those two you have mentioned? Good luck hope it gets sorted Kaz ;o) |

Being a GR member for the past eighteen months, I have not experienced any problems until recently when all the bells and whistles were added... Since the GR site has been 'upgraded' I have had the following problems:- I have been unable to upload photographs — I get an error message, [HTTP Error, 302 occurred.] even photos I have previously uploaded won't work! Nine times out of ten I cannot upload info to a 'new' or existing relative — I get another message :- 'Sorry, there was a problem connecting to the Genes Reunited site!' — although on occasions the info has been saved anyway — sometimes in multiples. If I place the name, O'Connor in the search box on my 'Family Tree page, I get the 'No matches found' message - which is strange, since it's my family name! (How many other names are ignored?). I am using a G4 Mac 1GHz. Browsers:- Safari or Firefox. Broadband 4MGb connection. — Oh yes, and I can't send a message to 'Support' either, I get 'Sorry there has been an unexpected error.' In desperation I downloaded a gedcom file of my GR tree as a backup, then uploaded a copy of my 'Ancestry' tree.... Bingo! ...one corrupt GR tree. Never mind, I've got a backup of the original haven't I, ...oh happy day! Will it load? Will it hell! Although it DID load to my wife's tree and also to Herdis without a problem. STRESSED? I don't know the meaning of the word. SUICIDAL? That's another matter................ Regards, Tom. |
