Can anyone please help solve this puzzle , i have tried everything i can think of to find info but nothing is working , i cannot find my Gr Grandad before his marriage to hannah jones in 1889. this is what i have , dec 1889 middlesbrough john lowrie / hannah maria jones married , i have the cert for this wedding cert says 25th november 1889, john lowrie to hannah maria jones , he was 39 she was 35years old , he was widower she was widow , his occupation was engine man, her none , he lived at 8, clevelands st south bank middlesbrough she at 9, clay lane cottages south bank , his father was john lowrie(deaceased, occ caster. her father was george french (deceased) engine man. i have got lots of info on hannah and her family also her previous marraige to john jones . wedding in the presence of George Dean, and Jas Foley . Do you have any idea when he died - the address on his death certificate or in informant may help you. Regards Irene

Thank you for that Irene, i went on free bmds and found what looks like a very good possible for his death , If i send for this do you think i might get to know where he was born on it ?. As in the 2 census i have with his 2nd wife on, says 2 different places of birth not sure were to look . Thanks again Sue x

It will not have where he was born on his death certificate - it may have his age and the name of the informant that you reconize and that will confirm he is the right person. Once you know his age it may help with his birth details. Good luck Irene

Irene and Kathleen , Thank you for your advise , i need all the help i can get on this 1 . I have spent many hours searching for john b1851 in scotland and newcastle , i have found quite a few but just dont know which to run with , (if that makes sense to you ). I think i will send for the death cert i have found (i think )lol and see what that holds . thanks to all again , and please dont hesitate to pm me if you think of anything else .
