The sister of a grandparent. So you mum or dad's aunt would be your great aunt

Thelma, another oddity. My sister is Grandmother but I'm Great Aunt to the same children. Don't know why I'm not Grand Aunt? Either way - Great or Grand - is fine with me. M. Steer

Margaret now you have got me confused, all I can add is that it great having relatives, Great, Grotty or whatever, They all count. I just wish that it was a bit easier to find some of them. Thelma
