It's quite a tricky one. The ancestors I'm searching for is on the 1861 Census as living in a house as a lodger with many other Irish people. He was listed as a miner, asged 25. He married in 1862 but unfortunately he passed away in a pit accident before the 1871 Census, leaving a wife and 3 children , he was aged 30. |

Might depend on what was happening in Ireland, eg Potato Famine, so were they going TO something such as work or AWAY from hardship and desperate need. |
