Ancestry provide both image and transcription, but I suspect that their transcriptions were from images that contained redactions, whereas FMP probably had unredacted images to start with. |

I find it mildly irritating that the transcriptions often don't give the street name in the address especially when the first entry on the page is closed. |

I read on another site that it had been announced on Twitter that the 1939 Register was free on ancestry until 13 May |
