Syncing with the internet is optional, and even then you can keep your tree private. |

I installed this about 2 weeks ago and really like it. It looks very similar to 2010/2011 with a few enhancements. The best thing I like about it is the sync function which you can set to either automatic or manual. This is a feature many people including myself have waited for a long time. Any changes you make to your tree in either FTM or on Ancestry gets replicated in the other tree. |

I too received this offer. I currently use 2010 and keep my whole family tree on it - including living people. I am not sure I want all the information replicated on the Internet...I need somewhere to keep the information I do not want to make public, so maybe I will stick with what I have. |
