Thank you Chris for your trouble. I do have both the wills but of course they don't say the value of the estate. I didn't think the one from 1870 was worth a lot but the one from 1797 was quite wealthy so it would have been really interesting to see how much there was. |

Ancestry has a transcribed index of proved Wills 1861-1941, so, if you ask for a lookup, you may get some info about the 1870 death, but obviously not the earlier one |

I was going to ask how I find out how much my ancesters left in their wills but I see someone on here was given information from a source so please can someone help me? |
