Junior can just mean he is not John Wood Senior, so can be any age. |

Was thinking along the lines of patchem, but you did not say who the bride and groom were, however came across a similar situation with another poster........and Junior was his actual surname! lol |

oh nice one Ann. Yeh i have come to a brick wall now. John Wood is illegitimate and i know his mothers name, but not his fathers. Tried everything i can, but to no avail. Thought i had found him and his mother, but it seems that is wrong now. So back to square one, or not at all. Many thanks for you help though Ann and patchem |

A curious one! If his name is John Wood Jr. it intimates that his father is John Wood Sr. but you say he's illegitimate and father's name not recorded? Was mother's maiden name Wood? If so it's unlikely that father's name is also Wood. |
