I went to the mormons in portsmouth today as they said they could help me trace william mcdowell b 1792 stoke damerel devon Parents

Also i asked about cemeteries she said they could all be buried weston mill plymouth

as these films cost over £7 just to look at i wondered if any genes members had one

could he have been born Cornwall?

William McDowell.

Are you sure he was born in Stoke Dameral? familysearch (the Mormon's website) has baptisms for that period and there are no McDowell records. The film you refer to would be the one that these baptisms were transcribed from.

I found william mcdowells marriage 1814 stoke damerel to mary ann gerry in family search which must be what i put in i have the certificate
they had several children eldest was john b 1815 who had a son william henry mcdowell 1847

does this help

i have some of the names you sent me am i chasing the wrong william

mine as i thought died 28/6/1842 in a lunatic asylum stoke damerel the certificate has age about 47 which is crossed out which makes him born 1795

i have a death certificate with william mcdowall 21/3/1844 age 74 57 chapel st with catherine mcdowell in attendance at the death would this be his first wife ??
as ive always wondered if he married twice

I have a death certificate with John Mcdowell may 1845 looks like
9 cumberland close age 89 printing is bad

I am confused as there are to many williams and johns from stoke damerel

Thanks for your help i would appreciate it if you can help me furthur

Thank you i have seen this william before which ive kept incase sounds promising as the father like all the others

charlotte mcdugal maiden name peagean as i read it on the marriage certificate the morman people said it was pordgan ???
she married john mcdowell my 2nd great grandfather
then william beeching

this weston mill cemetory would they help me for buriels

On find my past 1841 census they wrote mcdowell william age 45 -- 1796 devon convict address stirling castle convict hulk stoke damerel morice devonport so i have his birth date wrong then ???

Would you like to see my tree i have made a few mistakes trying to add another partner as we cant delete anything
