The message when I log in is License Limit Exceeded. It tells me I am logged in on another computer. I am not. I have called the helpline but it's shut for the night. |

Solved cos I waited for 30 minutes - but why did it do it? |

I don't know the answer. However, I would note down the times involved, error message etc and ring/email the helpline tomorrow. Could be a glitch, or is it possible someone else has your password and is using your credit? |

Well, could be Minerva. It has happened once before. I seem to be beset by a lot of glitches at the moment. |

It`s happened to me when I`ve crashed out, rather than exiting gracefully. Evidently, I`ve still been logged in on the crashed session. |

mgnv that might be the case. I can't remember. But I have had so many problems with everything this last week anything could have happened. Anyway, back on to it now. |

I have had it a few times in the past too. If I remember rightly the last time was when I was trying to check something in My Account and was already logged in on another page. Crashing out also seems like a plausible reason. |

I had the same problem and phoned Ancestry. A very helpful chap explained that I hadn't been logging off when I'd finished a session and their system eventually saw that as continuous usage. He very kindly reset everything, and now I just make a point of logging off after each session. |

That's an interesting one because I always do log off and and never leave anything connected to the internet as I was always taught it was safer that way. |

Well, in 6 years I have never logged off, and no problem. Suddenly I am logged off whether or not I choose to be, and it's a real pain remembering how to log back on (and the same happens with GR now, though no problem with FMP). |

Sorry madmeg, but I don't have any problem. I too stay logged on to GR & Ancestry. It's not happening to me so it may be something to do with your settings. |

Madmeg, have you changed or updated your virus program lately? i found that mine, when I performed the complete search, as opposed to the quicker one, deleted the "cookies" ..... which is how the sites remember your passwords for you. |
