After finding details of a will I wished to purchase on Ancestry Probate Calendars, I filled in the form back in August and sent off to York with £5 fee. Yesterday received a letter from Norwich Probate Sub Registry to say they could find no record of the one I requested. I had given all the correct details as taken from Ancestry. |

Did the entry on Ancestry mention a will or just Letters of Administration? Can you give the details of the name and year f rom Ancestry so we can have a look? |

Can't understand why they can't find it. Perhaps it might be easier to write to York. I know they are busy. I waited 6 weeks for three wills which were only delivered last Saturday. |

I have just written to York Office. Fingers crossed it will be found but Norwich should be using the same search criteria as York. |

I would never order from York - even before the Index appeared on Ancestry they were always SO slow. I've recommended to people on here that they order from one of the smaller offices - I always get wills within a week or so. |

I received the first wills I have ordered last Saturday. I ordered from York but they were sent (after 6 weeks!) from Birmingham. |
