Whether I try to access the IGI site through the address bar, or google it, I am having trouble gaining access. On the few occassions I have been able to, when getting back to GR site, I have to click on the START tab, at the bottom left hand side of computer. |

When you do get through to IGI add it to Favourites. I have dozens of recommended sites under the name Genealogy of which I only use a few, but can't bring myself to delete any of the others just in case! |

Ok, Clicking the Start Button brings up the Windows Start Menu on. At the top is a short list of programs that have been bookmarked by the system. The top left one is usually Internet Explorer. You have clicked on this and this brings you up your home page which is probably set to whatever your ISP (Internet Service Provider) has set it to. If you have BT then it is a BT-Yahoo home page which as you say gives you access to chat and email. |

Many thanks Mark. This makes sense to my non computer literate brain, with easy to follow instructions. |
