I have to agree with PigletsPal. Either Ancestry (which I prefer) or Findmypast offers much better value overall for research. |

PP - what's the big deal about who "holds" the records. If you wanted to buy a house, would you avoid estate agents who don't own the properties they're trying to sell you? |

You would be better to have just the basic membership to Genes so that you can use these message boards but use something like Ancestry or FindMyPast websites to do research. |

Has any one had any luck with this site, paid to be Platinum member but cant get any records can any one advise. John Blackmore, not even my own birth information. |
