Not finding a birth for him that fits exactly

I have the birth certificate for his son born in New Zealand and that gives his birthplace as London

right I know at first glance this seems wrong but both William and Susan born London and William is a watchmaker...I think the family may have moved, and young William is just down as born where they lived.
