hi i wonder if anyone has access to usa records. i am looking for info on the thompson family from new york usa. i have them on the 1900/1920/1930 census but wondered if anyone could help me with records before that or with any births marriages deaths etc..
the line i am looking for is FRANK LEROY THOMPSON c 1883 new york .
on the 1900 census he is living with his brother EGBERT THOMPSON c1872 new york

The family are living at Yonkers Ward 3 Westchester New York
Frank Leroy Thompson brother age 16 years born New York occupation is clerk
Egbert Thompson head age 28 years born New York occupation was machinist
May Thompson wife age 28 years born New York
Reginald F Thompson son age 5 years born New York

would love to find out who were the parents of frank and egbert and if they had any other brothers and sisters.
any help would be very much appreciated

I've had a look at the 1880 census for Egbert, but I just can't pinpoint him.

I looked for Clara on the 1900 census, I did come across Clara Dall born New York in 1885.... parents born New York too. But I'm not sure on that one as someone as corrected her name to Clara B Dall......... however I have come across correction that are totally wrong.

thanks so much for your help you have pulled out all the stops. was it horace birch that you helped me with? that was when we were trying to find out about my husbands grandfather . he was abandoned by his mother and his step father and sent to london to be brought up by horace birch in a gentlemans club. we never did find anything out about horace birch . i emailed the club but never got a reply
