He could try his local library &/or Douglas to see if they have a subscription available for on-site use. |

As a favour to an acquaintance I looked for his German ancestry, and found an enormous amount of info, the basics of which I copied down and sent him. I suggested he at least join the 14-day trial so he could see for himself and take notes. He can't afford the sub, and doesn't like the idea of handing over his card details either. And I can't argue with that. |
