Yes porkies were often told to save face, as you say some info needs to be taken with a pinch of salt until proved. |

Notice on this census my grandfather/grandmother state they were married for 15 years. Not so. They did not marry until 1916 when my father went to France in WW1. Can be somewhat misleading for other searchers with the same problem. |
