depending on when they were born often the time of birth is recorded for a twin Plus the GRO ref will be the same page or the next one ie births were listed so many to a page so one twin might be the last entry on one page and the other twin would be the first entry on the next page. |

Another thought for your gran if the other child was stillborn then there will be no record before 1927, when the stillborn registers started. |
