can any one advise me how i can find out the area an irish relative came from. he appears on english census as birthplace Ireland, don't know where to start! any advice greatfully received. |

They still do this. My Dads death cert in 1995 gives his place of birth as Irish Republic, even though his birth cert gives it as Dublin. |

can anyone help me find Irish relatives who came from Cork. & migrated to England because of the potato famine. Are there Irish records available to search on genesreunited? Census searches have some family born in the south of England & some in Cork or Ireland. Surname of Atteridge. |

If you go to the record search pilot on Familysearch.org and type in his name you will find some civil registrations for people called Edward O' Rourke who were born around the time you are looking for |

His WW1 papers are on Ancestry and it names his father; |
