I was an ennumerator in 1991, and you didn't just get a list of addresses to visit, you got a map of your patch, and it was your job to check out the whole area. I had a river valley included, and had to check for people camping, ask householders if they had a caravan on the premises if anyone was living in it, and if shops had people living in a flat above. |

enumerator add , 'cohabiting' , also " This is a girl although name seems to be that of a boy " (Leander) and by two names "Unfortunates...In open air by roadside in Dockwell lane", interestingly it is caravans and tents... so a travellers site... names Penfold, Hoadley ? and Geary if anyone has them in tree. (1891 Heston) |
