Might not be relevant in your case, but I remember watching Who do you think you are, there was an expert saying that syphilis was rife in the 1800's. Apparently it caused miscarriages, then stillbirths, then neonatal deaths, then normal children, almost as if the effects wore off each pregnancy. I too have a family couple like yours, may be a reason? |

I have a couple in my tree ( G.G.Grandparents ) and I am having doubts about the Mrs actually being the Mother of the children. |
