The stillbirth register started in 1927 before that there would be no record of a stillbirth . |

The family story is that one of my ancestors actually had twin who either died in infancy or was stillborn. I have found one birth on the free bmd but only one. Does anyone know if either the birth or death of a stillborn child had to be registered? This was in the early 1920's. |
