another reason for deleting a post is that the poster has posted information which is later proved wrong so it is deleted to avoid confusion. |

It is probably because someone has found that the info they posted has already been added by another member, and is therefore superfluous. |

some people also delete a posting if they think the thread owner has read the information, and it is no longer needed |

A poster can often delete a reply if they find that someone else has beaten them to it and already given the same information that they have found. Rather than have the information on the thread repeated several times people will often delete a reply. |

Posts can be deleted by the poster or by an administrator. If the poster has deleted it it's probably a result of 'housekeeping' - if you delete all your posts in a thread that thread no longer shows up in "my threads". |

i have had a lot of posts deleted in one of my threads and am confused as to why. Any advise please. Why would someone post and then delete their post doesn't make sense. |
