Recent deaths - can I order?

It's only for deaths between about 1930 and 1983 that you have to search qtr. by qtr. Before that and after that the deaths are transcribed so can be searched by putting in a name |

Thanks for explaining Kathleen. I do have Ancestry but hadn't realised that I needed to search by quarter. |

FreeBMD only goes up to about 1930 for deaths and the IGI is mainly before 1900. |

I want to order death certificates for an uncle who died as a child in 1940 and my grandmother who died in 1960. I can't find listings for them on bmd or igi. GRO need areas and exact dates of death. |
