can any body help me with this,i have a marriage certificate and one of the witnessess was called what looks like priwarty donovan,i don't know if it's supposed to be privarty or what.has anyone heard of this name before,and is it a man's name or a woman's name and what is the correct spelling? or is it a nickname? quite dumbfounded! thank you if anyone can help.bryan |

the marriage was in 1864 in newport,glam bride catherine sweeney groom michael mochen.witnessess were ann price and pirwarty donovan.these people were gypsies so i don't know if the name was transcribed as it sounded or was made up.the marriage license i have from the GRO is a photo copy of the original entry so is not totally clear. |

thank you,yes i have all of the census transcripts relating to michael mochen, i am just trying to find info on the witness pirwartypriwarty donovan as they are one of the pieces in a very large puzzle.i have heard the name privaty somewhere before i can't remember where it's an old fashioned name,don't know if it's the same name.best regards bryan. |
