How can i be sure it's the right death cert??

Martin, they may have copies of the parish registers on microfilm or fiche, but this will only show baptisms, church marriages and burials, the birth and death certs are held by the registry office only |

Guess this is just one of many bad things about common surnames, I've heard that some LDS centre's have fiche with actual certificates on them, can anyone tell me if this is true? this would be great and much cheaper if you can get copies of these for a small fee rather than gable with£7 for each cert. |

If you know their usual residential address you could use that as a checking point. |

There is no way really, the only other factor is area. Even then it's a gamble as to who registered the death. Remember it might not be a relative who registered it. |
