how do i locate medals

Without his army number or at least the regiment he was in it will be difficult to find this information. Do either of your parents know this information? Do you have any cousins who might have inherited his medals (that's if your Grandad has died). |

my grandad was awarded medals while in the army. i do not have his army number how do i find out what medals he got his name is leslie hickmott irthday was july 31st 1931 but he lied about his age so he could get in army at 15 after leaving childrens home. he was in hong kong when got bravery award. any tips! |
