Combining duplicate people on FTM

I have FTM 2006 and it has the facility to merge 'all duplicated' or 'two individual' people. |

It is possible for the same person to show up twice when printing your tree, even though they are only entered on the database once. It is quite normal - in some circumstances. For example, if there are multiple relationship lines within the tree, perhaps as a result of distant cousins marrying resulting in their children having two separate and distinct lineages back to the same ancestors. |
