Would you mind checking Richard Oliver Cooper b 1880 in Pendleton in the 1901 c? I was wondering who with and where he was living.

Not WK. He's with his parents James & Eliza , sister Eliza and brother Joseph.

His age was transcribed as 50 but I think the original is 30.

In 1871 in Pendleton, I've found a William Haworth b. Pendleton aged about 6. ED, vessel or institution 17 99.

I was wondering that too Margaret. (Thanks by the way) 7 is very young to be on his own. I wondered if he might be with maternal grandparents, Honor and Henry Croft. W.K.'s father was William Howarth (or Howarton) who must have died between 1871 and 1878 when Caroline remarried Richard Cooper. Finding Howarths are never easy as the name is often spelt differently. So finding WK in 1871 or when his father died could be tricky.

In the 1871 census was William Howarth (or Howarton) 50 or 30?

Was wondering where son William Kay was in 1871, should have been 7. There's a 7 year old William Howarth born Pendleton living with his father, William, 33, beer house keeper, as lodgers in Southport, Lancashire.
First husband wasn't still alive, was he?

I'd like to know where Caroline was prior to her marrying. I have a note made from 2 years ago that richard took over the pub previously run by Caroline's late husband. Hence my previous question about her living in Broad Street. I can't remember where I got that information from and am now trying to confirm it.

Caroline obviously must have been married previously. Perhaps the surname was spelt differently. Haworth or Howorth or Howarth.
