I have recently found out that one member of my family was adopted soon after birth. I have their adoptive parents included in my records as I didn't previously know about this. Can anyone tell me how I now go about adding the biological parents to my family history records? Not sure how to handle this! |

Thank you for your help with this! It is a rather delicate situation as the person in question never knew they were adopted and we only found out recently and unfortunately not before the person died. |

It depends what family tree software you're using. Family Tree Maker, for example, gives you the option of adding more than one set of parents to an individual. You then specify each parent-child relationship, e.g. as "Natural", "Adopted", etc. |

One way on Genes is to link one of the adoptive parents to one of the Biological parents.Explain why,in the notes. |
