My sister had her first baby out of wedlock, and when she later married, the father of her first baby had to sign an adoption cert for baby's stepdad to adopt her. |

I'm no expert, but it seems a bit strange that he was involved in consent unless married to your mother - you give no details of her. I thought fathers had no say if unmarried- but could be wrong! |

You're going to need more information about him to trace him. Were your birth parents married? Does Edward have a middle name? Any idea how old he'd be and know any other members of his family? |

iam trying to trace my biolgical father who i believe came from hackney in london but when he gave his consent to my adoption he was living in chiswick . in 1942 i was born in exeter i only found out about this within the last 18 months |
