Don't forget that the absence of the word 'deceased' on a cert doesn't mean the person was still alive. It could mean either. Only if the word appears is it reasonable to assume the person has died. |

Thanks for your reply, looked up adoptions but of course not much help before 1926. I just seemed to be baffled because he lived with adoptive parents but used his fathers name on his marriage certificate in 1910. It doesn't say (deceased) by his fathers name, so it just seemed a mystery. Thanks for reply. |

does anyone know if between 1891-1901, there was a legal form for adoption in wales and if there was where would i get the information. Thanks for any help |
