Help fixing "missing generation" problem

Most family tree programs allow you to disconnect a person from the "parents" then reconnect to someone else. |

I am sure I am not the first this has happened to BUT..... happily plugging away generation after generation and suddenly realise I have skipped one! ie kids suddenly ebing shown as born to Grandparents. |
