Find the births you know about ,on freebmd.
Now log all the other births in the same timeframe and district(s)
Now log all the deaths of infants.
You may be lucky and find the correct number.
To be certain you will have to buy certificates.
edit
Stillbirths will not be recorded.

Hi can anyone give me any tips, my nan had 18 children, and the 1911 census confirms that only 6 were still alive at that date, is there any way that you can find out all the names of the children that she had - looking at the census' and also from relatives we know the names of 10 of them but still missing details if the other 8, can anyone offer any ideas

Many Thanks
