help with bmd index - marrige

been on the bmd index site and was very lucky to have a match for ernest hignett born 1887 liverpool which is the one i was looking for, please though could somebody help me with marrige look up as at that point i got confused as there was more than one my general aim was to see if he had any children but i am boggled! any help would be so appreciated ....i have a lot to learn yet...thanks for reading |

thankyou very much kath yes that is his birth one, and that looks like a good match for a marriage how would i go about looking for children to him and i also cant find his death i will send off for certs of these 2 found again thanks x |

if you find the marriage on freebmd there will probably be two possible spouses, this gives you two possible mother's maiden names for the children |

Just had a look on the Lancashire BMD site - it would seem that Ernest Hignett who married in 1908 was married to Rose Green. There's another Ernest (Ernest F Hignett) who married Lilian Bodell in 1911, though. |

the marriage for ernest hignett and rose green has finally arrived 23/02/1908, however not a good match the father to ernest listed on the cert is a robert hignett i was hoping it to be james hignett. so now im back to squre one looking for a marriage for ernest and any poss children.....any help appreciated..thanks everyone for your help so far x |
