I always look at the image, as the transcrition is one persons opinion and there are many ways to misread old fashioned handwriting. |

Ancestry's 1901 transcriptions were a rush job and are riddled with errors, whereas the original 1901 on-line version was was, and still is, more accurate, so yes, always check the records. |
