I have been looking for the marriage of a Susannah Finn and a Thomas Ransom (n) she was born in Dover Kent and he was born Bury St. Edmunds Suffolk their first 2 childre was born Bulmer Essex have the baptisimal records of Isaac Ranson born 1821 an George born 1824, now I know they were not married in either Essex or Suffolk. I must imagine they married about 1818-1821 but can't seem to find them anywhere. After the first 2 children they were living in St. Gregory Sudbury Suffolk. |

The marriage isn't on BVRI either, Margaret. |

thank you all for your input and Margaret does that mean if the marriage was not on the BVRI that they were not married see I am not 100% sure if the name was Ransom or Ranson it has been used different at differnt times. |

I expect you have the family in the 1841 census and the birth certificate of Edward born 1840 and that is how you know the maiden name of the mother. Irene |

Oh no, Margaret, the fact that the marriage wasn't on BVRI doesn't mean that they didn't marry. BVRI certainly doesn't cover all marriages in UK. Both IGI and BVRI are done by LDS Church and they weren't allowed access to all church records. |
